Sonography student here. We only do ultrasounds not x ray. If you want to do x ray you need to go to a rad tech program for that. Rad tech is good tho since you have the opportunity to branch into MRI, CT, NukeMed, etc.

Sonographers don’t do X-rays, they only do ultrasounds. Radiologist technologist is the xray. But I get where you were going

Nuclear medicine Technologist A nuclear medicine technologist gives patients a special medicine that helps parts of their body show up on a scan. The medicine contains a small amount of radioactive material. For example, if someone needs their heart checked, the technologist gives the medicine, usually through an IV, then uses a special scanner to take pictures showing how blood flows to the heart.
