Do something detailed, important. E.g. - Carton of milk that may be expired. - Toothpaste, that turns out to be glue. - Web lookup for a plumber, making a call.

these seem great but keep in mind f you have ever tried to teach a senior how to use technology, you know the learning curve is enormous. many times I swear it would genuinely be easier to teach an orangutan to do it. showed my mom over 700 times on consecutive days how to answer her cell phone and she never got it.
