Most non-tech companies are not going above 3-4% this year. We’re all painfully aware it’s barely keeping up with inflation. But what are we supposed to do? It is an employer’s market right now and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

I work in a medical school that is still struggling with the cuts to NIH funding. Raises were due on July, we were told that it would be pushed back to September. We haven’t heard another word about them.
