Its my favorite of 2026 I think this movie is not messy at all. I feel like Its so deliberate and meticulous. I hope this doesn’t come across offensively, but I feel that the lack of commitment being sensed is coming from the dissonance of a misinterpretation of the movie’s point regarding storytelling, and the power of satire etc.

I don't think the movie is that complex at all, or trying to be. For me it felt like it was all laid out on the table by the end, and left you to decide. What role do we play? I also don't think it's the kind of "so deep that it's beyond the masses" either. It's Mickey 17 with somehow more literal messaging, spits in the face of Don't Look Up and OBAA. The humor is always subjective, some of it landed, a lot didn't. But it's a movie I haven't been able to stop thinking about. Kinda glad its worked out the way it did, this is way more fun than The Odyssey discourse.

I didnt find it super funny. The cinematography was actually beautiful IMO. Some scenes were actually amazing especially the monologue.

I think everybody’s confusing the fact that the movie itself is not satire. The play within the movie was satire, but the movie it self isn’t. It’s a reality we’re all going to meet unfortunately

I think there's a lot of critique of the "audience" (and I mean that in every sense) and how Kenny is "washing" the Rockwell name for his own gain. If Kenny's speech and the implication of his power as the credits roll don't land (not that you don't get it, but that it doesn't resonate) then I completely understand not enjoying the movie.

I feel like this has a lot more in common with a movie like Funny Games than it does Don't Look Up, and imo whether you're on board for that determines whether it lands whether you enjoyed the watch or not
