McDaniel's play calls are atrocious. Shotgun with 3rd and Inches? Screen pass he rolls Herbert the opposite direction of flood blocks with his receiver in triple coverage? McDaniel is a fraud.

Herbert had two good seasons, secured his bag, and has gone downhill ever since. He's had four coach changes to "bring out the best in him" and every year, he gets a pass because he makes a couple of good throws. The reality is, he's not a leader, can't read a defense, and makes terrible decisions. He also elected to go Hollywood during the off-season, skipping practice to get pap walked by his influencer girlfriend so she could make content. He's Russ Wilson 2.0.

HORTIZ!!! That's the issue. He had $100m to spend, got okay line players and no receivers that can create separation. Herbert didn't play well until Q4, then he carried that offense on his back.

It’s mcDaniel and John issue. It’s not working, if you watched the game it looked like McDaniel wasn’t in control. The second half especially the 4th you saw him calling plays he typically play. John is trying to protect Herbert when he isn’t a pocket Qb. Let McDaniel run the offense he wants with the play action, bootlegs, roll and quick runs. Chargers aren’t built for the long drawn out drives. Quick move the sticks with a deep ball when it opens up/ when the safeties drop down.
