@sbnewspress: A 2.7 magnitude earthquake was detected about 4 miles southeast of Goleta at a depth of 5 miles on Monday, Oct. 5. The United States Geographical Survey and the California Integrated Seismic Network reported the quake at 8:40 a.m. The shake was initially marked as a 2.7 magnitude earthquake but was soon downgraded to a 2.69 upon review.
