What about a threat. A senior operator threatened me and I told him I was going to report it so he would stop but then it got turned around the same day that i threatened other people and got fired for it.

And then they call it “at-will” and pretend it’s good for employees.

Hey Paige, if your employer operates out of multiple states. For example Nevada and Missouri. But in Nevada there is employee protections for cannabis useage and in Missouri there isn’t and an employee in Missouri is canned after 20 years for legal cannabis useage. Does that fall under preferential treatment for employees in Nevada even though both states are legal for recreational cannabis. Appreciate you.

can and employer require you to be at work but not pay you. like tomorrow I am scheduled 8am to 6:30, but I only have 2 sessions on that schedule. first session is at 2 and 2nd is at 3:30. I dont get paid if I am not doing a session. so from 8am to 2pm I am required to be in the building, but I wont be paid for that time. is this allowed?

Or if your contractual employee protected by tenure as in a college professor or school teacher. The termination process includes proving cause.

Would retaliation count for having a second job without a policy or contract; or feedback to upper management and being fired for it?
