I don't think the issue is simply whether people can afford it. The more fundamental issue is whether the price is perceived as reasonable and justified. When organizers continually raise prices while offering little additional value, consumers are perfectly rational in deciding not to participate. That's not necessarily a failure of affordability; it's a rejection of poor value and excessive pricing. And when the organizers inevitably blame inflation or the Trump administration rather than examining their own pricing decisions, they're avoiding accountability for the consequences of their business choices.

After going to the Minnesota state fair; you’ll never catch me at Arizonas state fair. Literally you park and charter bus picks you up and drives you to the fair, beer was like 8 bucks (draft kind) I remember buying fried ranch for 12 bucks. I bought a pickled lemonade for 10. Plus Arizona fair is in a rough area

I’m tired of everyone complaining about the prices, they have wristbands for unlimited rides on Thursday’s and Sundays and foodie Fridays for discounted food. If you want a cheap thrill and a wack roller coaster go to castles and coasters
