@wfsbnews: Governor Ned Lamont will hold a news conference Monday to announce his administration’s efforts to keep HUSKY D recipients enrolled in the program as new federal Medicaid rules are set to take effect January 1, 2027. The changes could result in thousands of individuals in Connecticut losing access. HUSKY D is Connecticut’s Medicaid program that provides health coverage to low-income adults ages 19 to 64. Starting next year, changes to Medicaid will require most people work or complete community service to qualify for insurance. The cutoff for Husky D is $20K per year. It’s insanely low. It should be $48K-$75K range

It should be for husky A also because that is for the parents of children also. Both of the parents can work. One works fulltime and the other part time like we all have done.

I’m wondering if the state will offer training for business owners or organizations to learn about different disabilities and mental health diagnoses. One thing I’ve learned in my career is that MANY of these individuals WANT to work or volunteer, but are treated poorly by employers.
