No no no that’s not the claim. The claim is it has way more inconsistent animated episodes than good ones. Literally some episodes were pngs sliding across the screen. The show is literally carried by its fights other than that it’s just a wanna be Naruto

When I say this I’m not hating on Black Clover but I will say black clover had decent animation at the time (EXCLUDING FIGHTS) and ik the animation gets better throughout the show(I’M NOT SAYING THE ANIMATION IS SHIT) But, due to the show airing in 2017 the animation at that time wasn’t absolutely nuts but those fight scenes were fucking crazy for its time you could tell how crazy the animators were going with the resources they had at the time I’m so happy that it’s airing again so peak

2x or faster means faster speed of frames and looks smoother. On top of that it’s less time of our eyes interpreting bad frames. Next time used 1x speed

I’m so unbelievably tired of the perception that barely intelligible and highly random flashing shapes/colors defines “good animation.” The problem with it is that everybody talks about how crazy shit is but they don’t use terms like flow of motion to defend the idea that the animation is good. Naruto vs Sasuke was a fun fight to watch more-so because it had perfect flow of motion, and less-so because of who was fighting. And the problem with anime fanbases is like this: if JJK didn’t have the animation it did, NONE of you and I mean NONE would be willing to tell me that Gojo beats Thragg in a fair fight, and not even half of all JJK anime fans would be fans of the series at all because the whole thing is a genuine lecture in pseudo science, and it drags more than it runs. You genuinely cannot enjoy JJK via the manga without having exceptional reading comprehension or a penchant for being beat over your fucking head with details you’re never going to remember, and I’m sorry but most anime fans especially today don’t actually have that reading comprehension in their toolkit. The fact that an Oxford man wrote a legitimate thesis paper on the physics of Gojo vs Sukuna is enough to tell any sane person that JJK is too fucking complicated for most of its audience to even understand what the hell is going on, how their own favorite power system works, or how Sukuna wins that fight. Go look at the amount of people who are asking in comments how the Culling Game actually works, and all of the power scalers who say that Gojo has infinite CE or that you have to bypass infinity to work around Limitless (both not true), and then tell me I’m wrong. Debates about narrative quality and animation quality alike should be left to the people who actually know shit about fuck- the ones who have a genuine passion for literature and art, and who can back that up in their own writing.
