No, the reforms only delay the inevitable. We're already seeing the massive rollback of many of the social reforms by our current government in the US

A diesel fuel shortage will inevitably put an end to our current way of life and will also mean the end of capitalism.

the thing is the reforms and social programs are just elongating its collapse and i have to agree with anarcho capitalists and libertarians here capitalism can not work if too many restrictions are used either leading to a giant collapse slash giant revolt when needs aren’t properly met through the capitalist system or capitalism actually manages to make so many reforms and restrictions against the free market it just turns into state capitalism and then follows the marxist path of communism until the state withers away and yadayadayada

Unless I'm mistaken, Marx believed we needed capitalism in order to realize communism - that capitalism is just a necessary step in the process of the world becoming communist. It seems like we're at the very least close to the point where it's no longer needed. If tomorrow as a next step, everyone did the day exactly as normal except no one was paid anything and no one paid for anything, what would we lose? Well, besides the banks & gov because if no money is used there's no need to hide it anywhere and if no money changes hands there would be no tax revenue. Other than hungry people having access to food and all of the pressure going away, I don't know if we'd even notice a difference. It seems like that's a good sign that capitalism is no longer needed. At least not for much longer.

Yeah, capitalism is goated. Our problem though is welfare. Once people get “free” stuff they get greedy for more. Our 40 trillion dollar debt is caused by welfare and it will collapse our economy in the near future

destined to collapse ... only if the proletariat realizes this. Critics always forget the latter part. And the ultimate flaw isn't in overproduction, but in the falling rate of profit; furthermore, even this isn't set in stone due to the counter-tendencies inherent in capitalism, namely technological innovations and labour intensity/super exploitation. FYI, the explanation of Marx's ultimate say about capitalism lies in his monumental Das Kapital, not in his brief Communist Manifesto.

My question is…did they just not have people working for other people before capitalism? Ain’t this kinda thing always been around? Why does Marx talk about this sort of thing like it’s new?

Wait, if profit is necessary, then doesn’t the worker never get enough money to pay for products from that company they work for because the company must profit?
