@stellaabiodun_: I think we’ve misunderstood what independence actually means. Being independent doesn’t mean doing everything alone, refusing help, or constantly proving that you don’t need anyone. It means not being controlled by other people, groups or circumstances. You can be independent and still ask for help. You can lean on people, collaborate, receive support and still be your own person. Independence is having the freedom to choose not the pressure to prove you can do everything alone.
