@landofthelonesome: Every spring I get so excited knowing that one of mother natures greatest displays of power will soon return to the Great Plains. Growing up as a kid in Central Florida thunderstorms became such a fact of life and a near daily occurrence for much of the year and that fostered a love of weather that has never left me. I still get as excited now as I did as a kid when I see a thunderstorm on the horizon or hear the sound of a warning come across the radio but nowadays I’m heading out looking for them with my old film camera. Here’s a collection of some of my favorite storm photos on 35mm film from across the High Plains.
