I'm just struggling because I read the book....and it was an average book. So for me, my expectations of the movie were met. I personally don't think the book is as good as some people think it is 😭😭

Not to mention, Verity says on hot ones the moral she enjoyed spinning the most was truth, but in the book she hadn't written that one yet. It just goes to show the movie was more biased towards the letter.

For me it was the fact that they made verity more likable almost by removing the at home abortion and the other daughter dying. Like those intentionally made her worse in the eyes of the viewers why remove it??

I blocked those parts out of my memory 😂 tbh I didn’t hate it. I didn’t realize this was a Colleen Hoover book til the credits rolled - I like the premise but I feel like the writing was kinda lazy. And on that note using podcast shows to show how famous she can also been seen as lazy writing … really it wasn’t needed at all so I wondered if it was paid product integration / marketing for those shows.

I am still not over how they changed the end of “My Sisters Keeper”. It ruined any and all faith I had in book to movie adaptions. Like if the book is good WHY are you changing anything

Its pmo its making people flip flop from Team Manuscript to letter and vice versa. It’s suppose to be the same story!! You shouldn’t be telling two versions of a story and saying the same but leaving our crucial details! 😭

I haven’t seen it but she must be trying to soft launch her newest book “Woman Down” into the film universe. That whole book felt like her trying to push her perspective of being an author that had a scandal and she’s innocent and the victim.
