Sometimes for some people relationships really do workout and last long. It just depends on who you date. If you so happen to date someone in high school and you both work that relationship out well then it probably is worth it. It’s mostly the relationships that are toxic that aren’t worth the hastle. That toxic man that cheats on you is not your future husband 😭

how does nobody understand that dating to marry doesn’t mean you wanna marry them immediately, it means you’re dating with the intention of keeping them until you’re ready to marry them rather than dating to hookup, jump around with people, etc.

I feel like a common misconception is that you have to explore while you’re young in order to fully “enjoy” your youth but that’s just not true. If you think that being in a committed long-term relationship while you’re young means you’re tied down that just probably means you’re afraid of commitment or don’t wanna be committed which is fine but not everyone has to do the same. why would I wanna date just to date or for the “moment” obviously I’m gonna want things to last with the person I’m dating

I think what she means is marriage as the main goal is unrealistic, couples should focus on each other, the now, not what’s going to happen in 10+ years. Yes, the point is to love each other and want a future, but your main goal in a relationship isn’t to just get married. It’s to have a life with one another
