@6abcactionnews: Firefighters rescued a dog from a vehicle that crashed into the surf near Malibu on Saturday, October 3, Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) said. Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle off the roadway and into the rocks along the shoreline after it left Highway 1 north of Malibu, according to the fire department. “The driver had self-extricated with one of their dogs, but a second dog remained trapped inside. Firefighters and CA State Parks Lifeguards accessed the vehicle, safely freed the dog, and carried it up to the roadway. Neither dog appeared to be injured,” VCFD said in a statement. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Footage and images released by VCFD showed the damaged vehicle in the surf and the rescued dogs.
