my goldfish tried to eat my cory, i had to literally tweeze it out of his mouth. goldfish get huge and honestly cory’s aren’t worth the danger in the long run

You could look into dojo loaches! They do well in cooler water, so 72°F is a reasonable temperature for them. Just keep in mind they get pretty big and need friends, so a 55 gallon might not be big enough for them long-term depending on how many goldfish you have

With the goldfish, I would not add any. gold fish get HUGE. I am looking and dreaming to upgrade to a larger tank. a 55 gallon with 4 goldfish and 1 preconceived is the limit. goldfish are very wasteful! your calico is BEAUTIFUL!

You can get peppered corydoras they live in colder temperatures an can live in a temp of 64 to 78 degrees

Cory's turn into pinecones if swallowed and they will kill your goldfish if accidentally swallowed- get big ones! 😁

None on that gravel unfortunately. They all need sand because of the barbels on their face, they constantly sift through sand and the gravel will hurt their barbels. Sifting is also just a very important behavior for them. Doesn’t matter if it’s smooth gravel or not, please don’t do it to them til you can switch the substrate. I have 18 Cory’s.

none with gravel golden dojo/pond loaches would work better with goldfish but they like corys need sand not gravel. They get big enough you don't have to worry about any goldfish eating them or the temperature.

peppered corys do super well in 72 water. I keep my 2 tanks at 72 and they're busy little buggers. they also enjoy waves as the panda corys

I'd recomend gold lazer corys sterbai corys are great and albino corys I have all 3 and they are very nice and after a year they'll be big and even nicer

Pepper corey doras do better in lower temps. I've kept peppers with my fancy goldfish for about a decade.

no worries, Smooth pebbles are safe for Coldwater Corydoras like Panda corydoras and Peppered cories, they are true Coldwater species and If you want panda cories? you need a wavemaker since they come from rivers but very worth it

Dude I beg of you PLEASE NONE I don’t think corys can go very well with gold fish and some corys could tolerate 72f but it’s still on the lowest side for them. They can go with smooth gravel but they really should be in sand

I have Cory’s and if your looking for them to clean your tank look for other cleaners because Corey’s are labeled cleaners but in all honesty they don’t clean they just search the bottom for left over food so if you over feed then they are helpful but cleaning wise they don’t do a thing speaking from experience
