Officers temporarily lost sight of it and began searching the surrounding area. While searching, officers reportedly spotted the Audi again as it turned off its headlights and traveled the wrong way along the I-17 freeway access road, nearly striking a patrol vehicle. A pursuit was initiated as the driver took off again. The pursuit eventually led officers to the area of Grand Avenue and Missouri Avenue, where the driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle and ran inside a nearby location. A standoff lasting approximately four hours followed. Patrol officers, K-9 units, the police air unit, and SWAT personnel responded while officers worked to negotiate with the individual and get him to surrender peacefully. After several hours of negotiations, the individual eventually came out and was taken into custody without further incident. 🎥 Follow Phoenix News for breaking incidents, police activity, and community news from across the Valley. #PhoenixNews #BreakingNews #PhoenixAZ #PhoenixPolice #PolicePursuit
