@childishdom: This isn’t a breakup. ❤️ Sometimes making the right decision doesn’t mean it’s an easy one. McKenna and I are at a point in our lives where our careers and the lives we’ve built are pulling us in slightly different directions. He’s moved to London for his career, the opportunities he has there and the people he works and films with, while my career, my life and so much of what I’ve built is still in Dublin. And for now, we’ve had to accept that we don’t necessarily have to force everything to fit into the same place at the same time. That doesn’t make the decision any less difficult. There’s still an emptiness that comes with knowing that something can be the right decision and still hurt. I think growing up is realising that sometimes there isn’t a bad guy, there isn’t a dramatic ending and there isn’t necessarily anything to fix. Sometimes two people can love and care about each other deeply and still need to figure out what makes sense for their individual lives. For now, this is what feels right for us. And I think that’s also a big part of why I share my life so openly. My goal has always been to inspire people to become the best version of themselves and to show that you can be gay, bisexual, build a career you’re proud of, become an athlete, chase completely new goals and still create a life that feels authentically yours. Right now, I’m working towards becoming an Ironman while building my career and figuring out what the next chapter of my life looks like. I want to show people that we belong in rooms we haven’t even entered yet. That you don’t have to fit into one box. That you can build a life that once felt completely out of reach. And sometimes becoming the person you’re meant to be means making decisions that are difficult, uncomfortable and uncertain, but still choosing to move forward. Thank you all for your support.
