I've come to the conclusion that they know this too but have so much stake in getting the typical bridal experience (late 20's early 30's) that they're ok with it not being forever. They just need the first part to HAVE happened in their life. The "being divorced is chic" trend rings of this to me, like it's so important to have done these things and gotten them over with LMAO
