Thank you for mentioning Oranmiyan. in your story, it is Oranmiyan that brought the Benin people to its present place. remember that the Benins never had any problems with the Benins which means that the Benins did not drive the Ijaws away from that land. A SHORT HISTORY OF BENIN. AND NOT THE FULL HISTORY OF BENIN. the Ogiso did not exist before Oranmiyan lead the Benins to that land. I learnt in school (History Class) that Lamurudu was the father of Oduduwa. but getting to Ife, we were told that Oduduwa came down from the sky with a chain and till date, if you go to Ile-Ife, you will find the statue of Oduduwa with the chain.
