@the1957news: Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has advised foreign embassies and consulates against the maltreatment and inhumane treatment of Ghanaian visa applicants. He made the remarks today, Monday, October 5, 2026, after visiting about 20 embassies and consulates to assess how Ghanaian applicants are being treated following a directive he issued after assuming office. While acknowledging the authority of foreign missions to decide on visa applications, the minister said Ghana would not tolerate unfair treatment of its citizens. He commended missions that had complied with his directive and said ambassadors of those yet to comply would be summoned for further engagement.
