@soultayshi: Full reaction on my yt! (Soul Tayshi) #hadestown #reaction #foryoupage #fyp #fypシ

Miss_Nashi :

“Is he implying that it’s not gonna end well?”

carrot 🥕 :

Orpheus was broke as fuck

Aster :

It’s such a good opening song. no story, just straight “incase you didn’t read the playbill, here’s the characters and the story we’re gonna tell” oh and btw it slaps too

Sarah📚🍂 :

“She’s a hungry girl” bro you have no idea but you’re about to hear about it every two seconds

Samuel Stock :

Fun Fact: André de Shields has been on Broadway for a long time and originated the role of The Wiz in The Wiz back in 1974. He also just finished a run on Broadway as Old Deuteronomy in Cats: the Jellicle Ball.

The chills I get with this musical

RossQuit :

2 things with your reactions. 1. remember to compare this to the end when you get there. no spoilers, you gotta experience it. 2. wait until you hear Patrick Page who plays Hades, literally the deepest voice I've heard

claire :

“Is he implyin-“ oh you have no idea

Sztahulec :

"he is not supposed to look back". Don't ask brother, just sing it anyway

alex :

“It’s a love song” 😃 “it’s a sad song” 😟

Gaby Del Río 🇲🇽 :

he's not 'implying' anything, he's outright telling you XD

ℜ𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔦𝔢🧟‍♀️🕷️ :

yes… he is implying this is not gonna end well😭

Kat :

Welcome friend ❤️

grace :

‘Touched’ is a reference to two expressions: ‘touched by the gods’, which can mean inspired or talented, and ‘touched in the head’, which can mean crazy or eccentric, so a kind of humorous way to say he’s especially talented, but also a little abnormal (which will become clearer in his introduction to Eurydice)

PinoWino16 :

He does imply the end from the start

αѕтяι∂ִֶָഒ·˚ :

'is he implying its not gonna end well.'

vanpancake77 :

I have seen the show several times but I still wanted to applaud when I watched that opening on an airplane. Incredible. Nice breakdown too! You know your mythology much better than me.

mac (they/them) :

I LOVE seeing you piece it together bit by bit! it's kind of rare for someone experiencing Hadestown for the first time on my fyp 🥰

mattiehatter :

The disney Fates combined two sets of deities: The Fates and the Graeae. I appreciate your line by line analysis of the music.

OkaraWolf :

where do y'all get the full musical?

l_raven29🐙 :

If a Greek myth took place in New Orleans and they added a bit of steampunk to Hades realm that's my explanation of hadestown and you'll never have a better Hermes than the great Andre right there

theswarmitcalls :

mamuh monique :

"touched means gifted, right?"

L.P. 👁👁 :

“Touched means gifted right?”

💙Hannah🌻 :

my face when you said "he's the one that's not suppose to look back" 👀
