My son had a female friend. He told her he didn't want to be friends anymore. She asked why. His response? “Because anytime I'm having a conversation with someone else. You start crying. I don't have time for that.” he was 9!!!!! I was proud. No manipulation over here!

Mind you, I’m raising my son the same way. I have 3 daughters and 1 son. Just like I’m not raising my daughters to be male-centered, I’m not gonna raise my son to center his entire life and purpose around women. He will absolutely respect women, but raising your son solely for someone’s daughter? Crazy.

I’m raising my son to respect women, yes. More importantly, I’m raising him to have a successful career. He’s an electrician at 21 y/o. He’s deciding on whether to become a Lineman or an Electrical Engineer. I just want him to be able to get through life with a solid foundation.

People are so weird. I have two sons. We are raising them to be good people in the world and good people to themselves. Raising them to respect those around them, respect people’s time. But to also respect themselves to not let people treat them bad. Mind you two parent household, very present parents and my older son (12yrs) gay, loved and happy. Had nothing to do with how his dad and I raised him, he was just born gay! People just choose to misunderstand.
