i walked up and down streets of dt iowa city alone with a football while Gameday Show was going on… and i tossed that football with around 300 random strangers … every single 1 of them smiled or joked or had something fun to say… it’s just who we are

Our daughter Samara was there 2 weeks at Iowa Stead family children's hospital back in April.She had an infection in her arm almost turned into sepsis. the amazing nurses and doctors made all the difference

My grandson, Dale is 14 now. When he was 7 UIHC flew him by helicopter from Cedar Rapids IA to Stead Family Children’s Hospital, he was in PICU. He was in the unit for 4 days. They saved his life there. Dales Jacobus an Iowa player come up and visited him from the time he was on the regular floor until Dale went home. He won’t ever forget him. Dales wrote and recorded the song “The Wave”.
