can we ask? how will this affect her future? can she still be ridden if sold? did it affect any tendons or muscles? we know it's not a confirmation issue so can she stay in the breeding program with you? what are her options as of now?

My biggest advice with a horse that loves injuries like this is don’t stop bandaging too soon 🙈 mine degloved her hind leg as a yearling and I stopped a week too soon and it has left a small scar. Basically where you stop bandaging is what you are left with.

Agree with any advice on keep bandaging for as long as possible!! Less scabs less scars!

I would continue with a thin bandage for a few weeks after as the skin may look healed but stuff very sensitive and easily breaks back down or it can before itchy in the later healing stages

Wow that is healing so so well! I think taking the bandage higher was a good.idea, should stop any extra pressure on that area. she might get away with very little marking as she will grey out
