You are correct, but I do stand by my comment in your previous video…women have had enough of the victim blame- it has gone on for centuries. Yes- that does mean there is emotion involved because we are tired and frustrated and we don’t feel safe. This is a societal problem and the question then becomes how do you change a societal problem? That takes more effort and more “passion” about the subject. The kicker? Your work is 100% right- we all do need to listen with our ears and not our triggers. But, it is really hard when so many of us have had more than a lifetime of societal abuse. Thank you for supporting Shriners!!

Hey! Just wanted to say I appreciate this take and your wisdom. When I commented on your original post, I noticed the very thing you’re mentioning. Projecting onto an experience or advocating for one view of interpretation for the collective, specifically: women’s SA stories having outrage until it’s muddled with nuance of her not being a perfect victim, therefore she gets undermined, and justice isn’t served. And a desire for men to speak strongly against SA for other men, and for women to feel protected rather then this reality for women being shrugged at in response. But you’re absolutely correct that the algorithm feeds what you reward. And content creators are getting rewarded for outrage, even if it’s a neutral take. It inspired me to reflect deeper, and post on my IG about this phenomenon and look at the greater experience instead of tying it to one case. Thank you for your work, even if we have different ways of going about it. And apologies for any strong language on my behalf. Would love to pick your brain sometime.
