The whole series was so dumb. Every alien was basically just a human, there were barely any suits, and somehow there were more sex scenes than actual Lantern constructs. Then they kill off Hal Jordan while having everyone constantly sht on him, and they do the same thing to Guy Gardner just to make John Stewart look better. I really wanted to like this show, but they got almost everything wrong. Even as a detective story, which is clearly what they were going for, it ended up being insanely predictable. Such a waste of the Green Lantern universe and all the crazy stuff they could’ve done with it.

Lanterns estimated budget is 15-20mil per episode. Superman and Lois was approximately 5 mil per episode so yes the could’ve done both good writing and good lantern service

I hear this all the time more green this more green that we don’t want parallax OK so you don’t want the most bad ass Green Lantern story of all time you don’t want the best green lantern story ever told got it. You want the water down version because you don’t read got you so you don’t want sinistro to do the most sinistro thing imaginable, and use the parallax entity to resurrect Hal Jordan from the dead so you don’t want the characters treated the characters at all. You don’t want to be a good story at all instead you want the water down version that’s more green and more constructs. We already got that it’s called Ryan Reynolds 2011 and it sucked.

Idk. I asked Ryan Ottley about Invincible getting budget increases because of how well it did in S3 and he said “well Amazon sees how well it does with its current budget and won’t increase it because of that”. So who knows, maybe HBO is the same?
