@mjbclips: The Secret Lives of Cheerleaders (2019): What happens: The story follows a romance developing between two students at "Roosevelt High" named Eva and Patrick. The Meet-Cute: Patrick almost hits Eva with his SUV while she's walking across campus. After the near-accident they formally introduce themselves, and Patrick tells her he noticed her before at the cheerleading tryouts. The Development: The clip jumps forward and shows Eva successfully making the cheer squad, the "Lions". And Patrick, who is a football player, goes to find her to congratulate her. The Start of the Relationship: While they're walking together through the school quad they talk about high school social dynamics and the attention Eva gets in her cheer uniform. In the end Patrick gathers the courage to ask her out for a burger after practice, and she playfully accepts, saying to consider it as compensation for the earlier accident. The Vibe: The show is romantic, sweet, and nostalgic — it reminds you of those classic high school movies about the "football player and the cheerleader".
