@3dprinting.canada: Here's a Part 2 following up with your questions about 3D printing on textiles: 1️⃣Fabric: Tulle nylon. 2️⃣Print settings: Default 0.2mm layer with 5 bottom shell layers. 3️⃣Pause by adding a Pause command in your slicer. 4️⃣Magnets ~5mm height max, spaced around 8-10 cm away from printing paths. Sample models: 🐉 Dragon scales | Thingiverse Model ID: 2755451 🪷 Lotus flower | MakerWorld Model ID: 3335304 🏁 Starter Fabric Patterns | MakerWorld Model ID: 3074958 🎃 Jack-o-Lantern | Custom design (comment to learn how to make)
Bumping the bottom shells from 3 to 5 is the step people will skip and regret. The tulle only holds because the melt pushes through those 1 mm holes and fuses to the layer above, so you want solid plastic on both sides of the mesh, not infill. Yes to a Part 3 on designing your own 🧵
