You’re still consuming the book..I don’t think it matters if it’s with your ears instead of your eyes. You can still imagine it in your head, that’s what matters most.

I do feel like they are completely different things. With that said, I love audiobooks and honestly wouldn’t “read” very often if at all if I didn’t have them. I’m a mom of two and it just isn’t possible for me to sit down with books unless it’s late at night. Plus a graphic audiobook is sooo good to listen to I’m addicted

You read two books, imo. And also adding to what you said about rereading and the audiobook debate.. exactly that! You wouldn't reread a book you listen to bc you have "listened" (for the purpose) to bc you already know what the book says. Reading is not going to add anymore information than what the audiobook gave you. And not trying to cause a debate, just maybe something to think about for someone that doesn't think listening is reading. Love anything by Freida! I usually go to them when I'm in a book slump bc i know I will love them. I'm currently in a book hangover 🫠 hangovers are always fun. I will pick up 5 books before I find one I can actually be interested in.
