@keegantatum: Progressive/liberal (and leftist) guide to California November 2026 ballot propositions. Breaking down all of the CA ballot props. #fyp #politics #california #election2026 #vote
It’s actually scaring me that no one in the comments is talking about Prop 44😭 if it passes and health clinics are closed because of this, think about the rural areas where health clinics are already limited, then poof, they’re gone, more people will be sick, more spread of diseases, death increases, etc

also to help you decide:
Prop 39 is pushed/supported by both Peter Thiel and Musk
Prop 41 is pushed/supported by Peter Thiel
Prop 42 is pushed/supported by Brin (Google co-founder, a Centi-Billionaire)
Prop 43 is pushed/supported by Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, and Don Jr.
Prop 45 is pushed/supported by Peter Thiel
so if you want to send a message to the 1% to stay out of our politics, Vote No on all of these props.

YES ON 40. NO ON 41 and 42 which are sneakily designed to counter 40 passing.

I am critical on 38, given that half of the 8.5 billion is going to a specific research center at UCLA owned by a billionaire who is also one of the largest funding parties behind what got prop 38 started.

I find it disgusting that corporate tax breaks were signed into the ballot for us to vote on before the 32 hour work week did.

Another creator on here did a deep dive on 38 and said two billionaires were funding this prop and that all of the funds if passed would go to one health agency. So she was recommending a No.

this is helpful. but i need vids with someone basically going down all the props and reading them and explaining whats behind all of these. most people as overwhelmed as we are don’t have time and end up voting for whatever.

I work in environmental review reading and commenting on the documents that developers provide, like environmental impact reports. They are already trash most of the time and don’t address a lot of natural resources adequately. I cannot imagine how much worse they’d be if we sped up that review.

Would also like to add prop 40 has to win big with yes votes. If say, prop 40 wins by 55% but either 41 or 42 win by 58% (getting more votes) they will invalidate prop 40 even if it technically passes with a majority vote.

I remember a civics teacher telling me, if you’re really not sure what a ballot measure will do, vote no. If it’s a good idea, it will inevitably come up again. But if it’s actually a bad bill it could really mess things up. However, a better idea is to do your research before you get into the voting booth. Or better yet, fill out your ballot at home and drop it off in a n OFFICIAL DROP BOX, don’t rely on the us mail because who knows what trump’s cronies could get up to with that

Remember: ballot props are often sketchy, so it should be a “no” unless you can be strongly convinced. They also often have unintended consequences and can’t be adjusted by the legislature, be suspicious of all ballot props and your default choice should always be “no”

Prop 45, from a leftist perspective, as actually a good Prop. It speeds up construction of affordable housing projects that oftentimes get caught up in lengthy CEQA litigation even if the project has limited environmental impact. CEQA has been a bottle neck on getting low income units produced because the process has become so politicized by NIMBYS and wealthy homeowners who don’t want “low income housing” in their neighborhoods
