STORY TIME 🚨 From me to my Fofinhas ❤️ This video is from 02/05/2025 📍Da Nang Vietnam Today I came across a “fan” account on TikTok that had posted a video of me. A video I had never shared on Instagram just like many, many others that are still sitting in my camera roll. Sometimes I don’t post them because I don’t have time. But if I’m being completely honest, sometimes it’s because I don’t always have the courage to watch myself back. We can be our own toughest critics. I usually end up posting only a few. But today something funny happened. My mom was on the couch watching a video, and when I heard the music, I asked, “Are you watching me dance?” She said yes — but that it wasn’t from my Instagram. So I went to look. And for the first time, I genuinely liked the video. I saw it differently. And it made me think about how many other videos I’ve ignored that maybe deserved a chance too. That’s why I decided to share it today 😂🤣 I’m telling you this because there’s something important in it. So often, we look at ourselves through eyes that are overly critical. We focus on what we could have done better instead of what we did beautifully. But sometimes it takes someone who isn’t inside our own head to see something we can’t. Someone who can say, “I loved these 30 seconds,” and mean it. And suddenly, our perspective shifts. So here’s what I always tell my students — and what I practice myself: take a video of you dancing and share it with someone you truly trust. Ask for their opinion. Ask them to choose their favorite 30 seconds. Save those 30 seconds. Create an album of those little moments and truly learn from your videos— the parts where someone saw something special and also you liked something about your dance , musically whatever it is! Over time, you won’t just see your progress in dance. You’ll start learning how to see yourself with kinder eyes. Because sometimes growth isn’t about dancing better. It’s about believing you were already doing better than you thought. 🤗 #dancewithines #tarraxinha #ginga #kizomba #gingatarraxinha
