It’s wild because I experienced this but I’m Jamaican. Because I am dark skinned & look west African, the bullying was horrendous. It was constant. The ignorance from the Caribbean community was horrific.

I think it’s important to note that the anti-African xenophobia still remains in black British society but is covert until debates around Notting Hill Carnival, Afrobeats etc comes up. Not too long ago there were discussions whether immigration should’ve stopped after the West Indians. Look around! Not much has truly changed it’s just not “cool” anymore. May Damilola continue to Rest in Perfect Peace and may his killers always be subdue to a living hell.
