Omfg this. Esp when it comes to communication. I am not the friend who lets the “I’m bad at communication” line slide by - that’s just a lazy excuse! I always emphasize to friends that good communication doesn’t mean 24/7 communication or perfection. Good communication = you’re letting me know where you’re at in the moment so I can meet you halfway. If you’re choosing to suck at that I will call you out or imma have to distance myself or cut you out. We need to call friends out more and have those uncomfy conversations in order to grow 🌱

Had a girl friend of mine cut me off in highschool. She was dating a dude who was abusive and he cheated on her with 3 different girls who added her to a gc and sent her the video. She stayed with him cuz he swore he'd never do it again. Apparently her friends supported her decision. Unfortunately for her, I was not and will never be one of those friends...
