@sunnyandclaire: I have been a Christian for over 35 years, but for some reason only recently did I actually "get" this truth. When Jesus was still on the earth, in John 17, it is explained how and for whom He prayed. He prayed for himself, for his disciples and for all believers. Fast forward to now, as He is seated in heaven with God, did you know Jesus prays for US?! Romans 8:26 says the Spirit intercedes for us when we don't know what to say to God. Then, in Romans 8:34, it says Jesus himself intercedes on our behalf. To me that is not only humbling, but so immensely encouraging. So many times I truly don't have words or even an understanding of what to ask God for or what to say. These scriptures reassure me that as long as I am seeking God, Jesus has my back! Honestly, I believe when I stray He is there for me just the same. His love and faithfulness to us is unconditional. To say that's a relief is an understatement! I hope this resonates with some of you today and encourages you to feel confident before God,even when you have no idea what to say...or nothing to say at all. Jesus is there with you and He knows.
