CHRISTA PIKE — THE ALLEGED LEAKED PHOTOGRAPH There’s been a lot of discussion about the RadarOnline report claiming the publication obtained a photograph showing injuries to Christa Pike following the September 30 execution attempt. But read the actual article—because there’s an important part of this story being overlooked. RadarOnline says it chose NOT to publish the photograph. More importantly, the publication reports that the image was provided anonymously and that its source claimed it originated from inside the Tennessee Department of Correction. That does NOT establish that a TDOC employee leaked it. That allegation still needs verification. But if Radar’s account is accurate, it raises serious questions about who took the photograph, who had access to it, whether anyone was authorized to distribute it, and how an image allegedly originating from inside a correctional facility ended up in the possession of an outside publication. This isn’t about whether you support Christa Pike. It’s about privacy, security, accountability and the proper handling of information involving an incarcerated person. I have personally emailed a member of Christa Pike’s legal team to make sure they are aware of the publication and the allegation concerning the photograph’s origin. What happens with that information from here is for the appropriate people to determine. For now, stick to what we can actually verify: RadarOnline reports that it received the photograph. RadarOnline says it did NOT publish it. And the allegation concerning where that photograph originated has not been independently established. Reported does not mean verified. And in this case, how this photograph was allegedly obtained may ultimately be a much bigger story than what the photograph shows. #ChristaPike #truecrime #Tennessee #RadarOnline #FactCheck
