As someone who works in HR, we have to get the one who is fired escorted out the building, the manager than collects everything and hands them over all the personal belongings while they wait outside the building or if the person getting fired tells us they want their items shipped to their house, we do that. If the HR advised you to leave premises, you are to leave the building immediately and your personal belongings will be handed over to you. Creating a scene like this and making it obvious that you just got fired is unprofessional and unnecessary.
