American friendliness should not be confused with friendship. True friendship is rare. Loads of small talk and fake enthusiasm and positivity. In reality many Americans are depressed, stressed out, anxious, lonely and miserable. Those that can afford it go to therapy. Others suffer in silence so as to avoid being labelled negative. A result of callous, superficial society based on greed, competitiveness and ruthless ambition.
