Why are these people allowed to have animals? I mean, I get everybody deserves a companion, but if this is the type of life, these animals are subjected to then I am all for laws that prevent animals from being owned by anybody who lives there or frequent there that is so sad that poor puppy these people can’t even take care of themselves alone Animal it’s absolute ridiculous and thank God for people like you that go out there and try to help the animals and help control the population the more innocent dogs and cats, etc. are not subjected to this lifeit

This is dark, but as someone who’s worked with animals for a long time, if you want justice for that sweet puppy, you might consider collecting his remains so they can do a necropsy (autopsy for animals) to find the cause of death. Then the investigation can be because of documented proof. You need to photograph & video everything. Write everything down, date/time etc. also…please spread the information at skid row that if there is a puppy who gets very ill out of nowhere or is acting strange out of nowhere, that they can safely give the puppy narcan without fear of hurting them. It could save their lives. It’s done the same way it’s done for humans, spraying it up the nose. It’s not terrible idea to get narcan so they can have it just in case but then again I’d guess that’s something that is handed out fairly often down there. It’s possible that some of them die from accidents, getting hit by cars, illnesss esp parvo-highly contagious & can be fatal…& possible overdoses. It’s very possible not everyone knows that you can narcan pets. I’m so sorry for you loss. No living creature deserves that treatment. Justice for Ocean.
