@crmnallyobsessed: Christa Pike survived Tennessee’s attempt to execute her by lethal injection. So what went wrong? The state used pentobarbital, a powerful barbiturate also commonly used in veterinary euthanasia. But after two doses, Pike was still alive. One possible explanation: the IVs. Pike had warned before her execution that her veins were difficult to access. Her attorney says technicians struggled during the procedure, and Pike complained that her arms were burning. Her attorneys say she later developed swelling and blistering and allege the pentobarbital may have entered tissue surrounding her veins instead of being properly delivered into her bloodstream. Pike remains unconscious and on a ventilator in a Nashville hospital as Tennessee investigates what went wrong. Now comes another question: If Pike regains consciousness, should Tennessee be allowed to try to execute her again? 👇 Let us know in the comments. #DeathRow #TrueCrime #ChristaPike
