@lisamac562: Some recipes are more than ingredients. ❤️ Tonight I made Mom's Mustard Pickles for our Thanksgiving family baskets—and I found the actual old handwritten recipe card. 🥹🥒 The cucumbers, the onions, that bright yellow mustard sauce… and even the rule I grew up hearing: NEVER double the recipe because it'll bring a bad winter. 😂❄️ I had enough for two batches, so you better believe I made them separately. Mom and Nan didn't raise a fool. 😂 There's something pretty special about standing in your own kitchen making the same recipe the women in your family made before you.
