Facts! My mom always made reading time a priority for us growing up. Which led me to do the same with my boys. I read to them and then they read to me. It was a bonding time I treasure now that they are grown.

Ive read to my little every day of his life. I’d bust out books when he was an infant and read during tummy time, bedtime, cuddling, nursing. Weekly library trips. Made a big deal of bookstore trips. He was 0% into it and I was so discouraged. Then one day when he was 2 something clicked and he was interested and asking for more and more. Now he’s 4.5 and we’re reading the hobbit and this kid begs for one more chapter the way some kids do for cake and I’m so glad we stuck with it!

My sister is 9 and absolutely loves books! Shes read parts of the narnia series, the first Harry Potter book and the first Percy Jackson book! Shes one to jump series. I definitely couldn’t do that!

There's great 5 minute superhero books, and the Dick and Jane books are really good for kinder/1st to make kiddos feel accomplished because they are thicker.
