@buzzingnest1: BREAKING NEWS: NIGERIAN AIR FORCE AIRCRAFT CRASHES IN ONDO A Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft has crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ilaje Local Government Area, Ondo State, while travelling from Benin City to Lagos on a routine mission. According to authorities, the aircraft was carrying 25 passengers and 7 crew members, 32 people in total. The aircraft disappeared from radar at about 9:13am on Monday, before the wreckage was located near the Naval Base in Igbokoda. The Nigerian Air Force immediately activated search-and-rescue operations, while emergency agencies responded at the crash site. The Nigerian Presidency has since confirmed that those aboard the aircraft died and announced three days of national mourning, with flags ordered to fly at half-mast. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also directed the Nigerian Air Force to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash. The cause of the accident has not yet been established.
