@tswx3: Tropical Weather Advisory for Monday October 5, 2026. Tropical Weather Advisory #3: For Potential Tropical Cyclone 9 (AL 92): Probability of Tropical Storm Development: VERY HIGH->95% Probability of Hurricane Development: HIGH-70% Summary: …POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE 9 (AL 92) CURRENTLY TRYING TO ESTABLISH A CENTER OF CIRCULATION…RECONNAISSANCE MISSION SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE SOON… Discussion: Potential Tropical Cyclone 9 continues to remain very broad and disorganized while trying to develop a center of circulation. Nonetheless conditions are conducive for further development and a tropical storm is likely to form within the next 12-24h. Additional strengthening remains highly questionable although it is possible the system could achieve hurricane status. Hurricane probabilities were significantly raised but could fluctuate depending on strengthening trends. Nonetheless the system is likely to remain a rather large system while on course for the Gulf Coast. This system is expected to drift east-northeastward over the next couple of days, before it turns northward. It is too early to determine the specific impacts to the northern Gulf Coast, but interests there should closely monitor the progress of this system.
