@mel_triesart: Everything about your envelopes is so intentional- even the way it’s packed. Deciding the order the pieces inside go in is one of my favorite parts of this process because it’s like.. what do I want you to feel when you open this envelope? How am I going to tell this story? I always start with your postcard- left blank for you to keep or share. It’s the first thing you see when you unfold your letter, and it’s not only indicative of where this envelope will take you, the city we’ll explore.. it sets the mood for everything to follow. So it always comes first. And then I add each piece switching up photos and art prints, letters.. I want you to feel all the different textures, and notice the way the paper used helps set the scene. This envelope has some really cool visuals- aside from the art! I love the way the newspaper article and letter look like a messy writers desk- with correspondence laid about and beautiful cursive swirling the pages. And I love the way you’ll lift a ghost story to reveal the accompanying photograph.. the story is true, and I took that photo on one of my many trips visiting the cities of the dead of New Orleans.. This one is a lot of fun putting together.. I can’t wait for you to see all the tricks (and treats!) ahead! 🍂⚜️🖤 #snailmailclub #travellovers #neworleans #spookyseason #ghoststories
