its not even about the ipad its that parents give it to em then dont teach them anything else after. I was a free internet access/ipad kid but im a functional human and smart student bc my mom still taught and practiced with me

my daughter has used a tablet since she was 8 months. she is now fluent in ASL and Spanish. it's not about the tablet, it's about the content.

As a daycare director: THEY DON’T LISTEN TO US EITHER 🥲 “Your child goes to public school next year… no we cannot wipe your 4.5 year old, or hand feed them their lunch.” We try so hard… these parents just don’t want to parent. Parents don’t want to do what’s developmentally appropriate for their children for fear that their child will cry or say no, and they don’t want to work hard at parenting.

Ooof blaming the parents for a child's learning disability 🤮 meanwhile kids are given electronics the second they start school. I know for my kids they didn't have electronics until school started and we had to pivot and work around all that exposure...

Ok here’s my issue. People will sit there and complain a child is making noise or crying in a restaurant or on an airplane even if the parent is trying to calm them down but then will shame the same parent for giving them a tablet for a while.
