@santiamsound: The City of Sweet Home, Oregon and surrounding areas lost a beloved community member, Mason Flores this last weekend. Today, October 5th 2026 would have been Mason’s 16th Birthday. Mason Flores represents the Youth of Sweet Home. A student at Sweet Home High School! An athlete of many sports! A great family member, an amazing friend, a fantastic member in the community. Mason is a true gift to so many. Mason’s life was taken way too early due to an accident head injury from a football game. Mason was in Portland fighting for his life here, but god called upon this great spirit to join a better life. Though Mason isn’t here physically to celebrate his birthday, we stand here today and celebrate with him spiritually. Mason left a gift behind for other people in tough positions who are looking for an organ donor. Mason left his body, to give another a chance at life so that they maybe able to live another day and celebrate their birthday’s physically with their loved ones. This young man in a short amount of time left a legacy for all of us to inspire for. We send our absolute best prayers and affirmations to Mason Flores to live in Unconditional love forever. We send our absolute best prayers to his Mother, Jenna, his family, his friends, to the Sweet Home High School as a whole, to the City of Sweet Home and surrounding areas. This kid was and forever will be a legend. “legends never die”. -The Sandlot- #SweetHomeOregon #SweetHomeHighSchool #8 #MasonStrong #HuskyStrong
