@maxlewistv: A standout football player at Yorktown high school was found shot to death inside a vehicle this morning. Muncie Police were called just before 3 a.m. to the 1400 block of E. Cromer Avenue on reports of a shooting. 17-year-old Christopher Wilson Jr. was found shot multiple times in a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Wilson was a standout player and had committed to the University of West Virginia. In a statement from Yorktown, Principal Stacey Brewer called Wilson a “kind, respectful and good young man” with a “bright future and big dreams.” Head football coach Mike Wilhelm called him a “great football player, but an even better friend and teammate.” “He was highly respected because he treated others with love and kindness,” Wilhelm said. “Uncommonly, he never sought out the attention that came with being a high Division-1 football recruit. He showed up every day and worked hard to get better. Our team has lost a brother, and we will carry him with us forever.” We are speaking with his family tonight and will share what they have to say about him on our 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts. The investigation into his death is ongoing, and anyone with information is being asked to call 911 or Muncie Police at 765-747-4867. #crime #truecrimetiktok #indiana #news #crimestory
