Wow, that is a crazy story. It reminded me of a potential Gabby Petito situation. Like you said several times you just never know. Always a good idea to call the authorities no matter what. Too many very odd crazy things happen. You are a very kind and generous person to wait for the police and call three times. Bravo to you you might have saved a life!
